World’s Largest Geothermal Lagoon
When you think of Geothermal energy you think of Iceland or some Nordic country where this energy source is utilized. However, little is known that our northern neighbor Canada has plenty of Geothermal energy and they intend to utilize that energy to create the World’s Largest Geothermal Lagoon. If everything goes according to the plan, the man-made body of water will be the center of a sprawling spa village with hundreds of chalets for guests. The project known as geoLagon will be located in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, will occupy up to 130,000 square feet and will be open year round with water temperatures kept at 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
