Volcano Inspired Superyacht
Forge, a 262-foot superyacht idea by Anthony Glasson of Design Studio M51, was influenced by Mount Vesuvius’ volcanic eruption. A superyacht built to resemble Mount Vesuvius floating on the open seas is undoubtedly an intriguing design idea. The ship’s ice-class steel hull is decked with a pointed pyramid-shaped aluminum superstructure that is coated in obsidian black to give the appearance of a mountain, while the deck’s sharp angles and vivid orange hue create the appearance of lava flow.
