Ultra-Modern Glass Teapot
The Ultra-Modern Glass Teapot Brews Your Tea in View!
Conventional teapots has always made tea brewing a thing of mystery but this ultra-modern glass teapot brews tea right before our eyes so we can behold the infusing of the tea into the water. This teapot melds form and function with an architectural shape that reveals the beauty and movement of tea leaves as they steep. Designed by acclaimed industrial designer Joey Roth, this teapot blends the design of vintage vessels with a modern style. Made of heatproof borosilicate glass, an arcing steel handle, a built in strainer and it sits horizontally on a table or counter with the glass body suspended between the two legs.
The unique design lets users view the tea as it brews and decide when the brew has reached the desired strength. When pouring, the leaves are caught by the strainer tucked away in the large spout. The handle stays cool to the touch and pot’s uncoated stainless steel body, formed in a traditional lost wax molding process will acquire a patina over time to document years of loving use. Measures 5 ¾” height x 5” width x 8 ¼” length and weighs 3 pounds with a capacity of 11 ounces.
Our Opinion
This is truly an ingenious teapot design that allows the user to watch the tea brewing inside and decide when it has reached a desired strength. The design is truly incredible and appears like a glass tube suspended between the front and rear pieces. A little bit on the pricey side, but this ultra-modern teapot will look great in your kitchen, we give it two thumbs up.
