The NASA Sleep Promoting Light Bulb
The NASA Sleep Promoting Light Bulb, Never Have a Sleepless Night
For those who suffer from insomnia or trouble falling asleep while in bed the NASA sleep promoting light bulb is worth examining. Developed and used by NASA to help Astronauts sleep in space, the wavelengths given off by this light bulb encourages the production of melatonin, the hormone that induces sleep. Traditional light bulbs emit high levels of blue light which retards the production of melatonin. The NASA light bulb’s patented filter reduces blue light by 50% to facilitate a better night’s sleep. The 12-watt LED produces the same light as a 60-watt incandescent for optimal illumination while reading yet lasts up to 16X longer. 4 1/2″ H x 2 1/2″ W. (5 oz.)
Our Opinion
Insomnia and other sleep disorders are a result of deficiency in the production of melatonin. This patented NASA light bulb reduces the level of blue light allowing for the sleep state to be induced. Reduction of blue light also helps to maintain the body’s circadian rhythm so you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. Use in your nightstand lamp for 30 minutes before you fall asleep and see the difference a light bulb can make.
