The Arrow Supersonic Combat Drone
Kelley’s Aerospace The Arrow Supersonic Combat Drone Will Become a Force Multiplier for Aerial Combat!
Kelley Aerospace, a Singapore-based aerospace company has developed a combat drone capable of flying at supersonic speeds. The drone was unveiled as a concept for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) call the “Arrow” last week. It’s capable of flying more than 2,600 nautical miles at mach 2.1 (1,611 mph). At that speed it can traverse the pacific from Los Angeles to Tokyo in around 3 hours while flying supersonic speed breaking the sound barrier. The Drone is designed to complement manned aircraft and be a force multiplier in the aerial battlefield. At a cost of $9 to 16 million dollars per unit, the drone has received over 100 pre-orders with customers interested in the Drone’s potential to give combatants a creepy, fast, carbon-fiber-lightweight edge in warfare.
