Classic German Copper Distiller
The Classic German Copper Distiller Revives the Secret Knowledge of Alchemy!
For the DIY garage chemist, the handcrafted classic German Copper Distiller is a dream come true. The secret knowledge of Alchemy passed down through generations from the medieval Turks in Eiterfeld Germany is the inspiration behind the creation of this 100% handcrafted copper distiller. The design is based on the classic copper alembic still used for centuries for making floral waters and essential oils. Now you can own this piece of history using the same principles of alchemy developed over 1,200 years ago by Alkindus, well known as the father of perfume distillation. Experiment with your own home made distillation, fill the copper curcubit with water and your preferred fragrant lavender, peppermint or thyme leaves, an oil lamp heats then boils the liquid, producing oil vapor that moves to the condensing pot where it cooled and converted into a concentrated distillate. The aromatic oil is deposited into a copper cooling cup for use in perfumes. The entire copper assembly is mounted to a beautiful sturdy walnut base with steel supports and precisely machined valves that control vapor flow. Measures 13”height x 9-3/4” width x 6” depth and weighs 3-1/4 pounds.
